ShareShot editor

ShareShot privacy

Effective 6 October 2026. Publisher: WD DIGI. Contact: support@wddigi.com.

Your screenshots

ShareShot Free captures only the webpage you explicitly choose or imports an image you select. Processing is local. It does not upload screenshots, collect browsing history, run analytics, use AI, or detect private data automatically.

Original captures stay briefly in service-worker memory until the editor receives them, or for at most five minutes while that worker lives. Images and undo history stay in editor memory and disappear on close or reload. There is no saved draft archive. Export and clipboard actions include flattened final pixels only. Review every private detail yourself.

Local settings and licensing

Preferences and future Pro export presets are stored in your Chrome profile. The Free release has no license-network permission and no payment checkout. When paid editions are configured, license activation sends your purchase code, installation identifier, app version and activation credentials to the product's WDDIGI service. Lemon Squeezy handles global checkout and DOKU handles checkout in Indonesia. Screenshot pixels are never sent to that service.

The website and support

Cloudflare hosts the public website and processes connection metadata to deliver and protect it. DOKU checkout sends your email by secure POST to prepare payment once configured; the optional activation page provides instructions and recovery guidance. The license service retains an encrypted checkout email for license delivery, retries and recovery, plus keyed email fingerprints, hashed references, activation records and security counters. DOKU and the email delivery provider process information needed for payment and delivery under their own policies. No payment-card data is handled by ShareShot. Support email contains information you choose to send. Do not include complete license keys, private screenshots or card details.

Control and deletion

Clear images removes the current editor's images and history. Closing the editor releases its memory. Uninstalling removes extension storage; files you exported remain where you saved them. Before uninstalling a paid edition, deactivate the license to release its activation. Licensing records may be retained to operate licenses, handle refunds and prevent abuse. Email support to request access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable obligations.
